Beng Natthawut Yuenyong (TH/NL)
Beng Natthawut Yuenyong (1987, Bangkok, Thailand) is a visual artist based in The Hague, Netherlands. His work explores the intersections of Thai spirituality, technology, and globalization, examining how artificial intelligence and digital processes reshape religious iconography. Drawing from his Thai heritage and Dutch upbringing, he creates generative sculptural installations that blend traditional forms with contemporary production methods. He has exhibited internationally, with notable shows including Mount Meru and the Three Realms at P////akt, Amsterdam (2023) and Non Native Native Fair: Prosperity Now! at Framer Framed, Amsterdam (2023).
Yuenyong is a founding member and board secretary of Trixie, an artist initiative in The Hague, where he has curated and participated in multiple exhibitions. He will also take part in Art Rotterdam with Trixie, further expanding his engagement with artist-led initiatives. Through his sculptural practice, he reflects on the evolving nature of Thai spirituality, utilizing self-replicating processes and rudimentary materials to explore new ways in which tradition and technology can coexist.
